Out to dinner with friends + one kid. Food was pretty tasty. We had the flatbread from the happy hour menu (they let us order it outside of happy hour times which was nice) and it was the right amount of cheesy, salty meat goodness. I got the the steak salad and it was good, but just a little too much of everything - onions, dressing, meat (!). I wanted the meat to be a little more flavorful, but it was cooked perfectly so it cancelled out it's lackluster taste. We also had the donuts for dessert. Delicious and fun dips! The service was s-l-o-w. Our waiter wanted genuinely to do a good job and remembered everything, but he wasn't really a multitasker which makes for nonspeedy service as a waiter. He was sweet and it looked like perhaps the dining floor was a bit understaffed as well so could be a management issue. It was also a family friendly place which I appreciate - a little on the nicer scale for Yakima, while still allowing the kids to hang out. I'll go back for sure, but probably to the bar because the drinks looked fun and the happy hour menu a total deal!

What a mess. The food is fine but the name says Twigs Martini bar. So have a pizza or one of the fine dishes on the menu. Order a beer. Wine list is mediocre. My friends ordered from their specialty martini list, mistake. Neither one had a drop of vodka in it. One was straight v8 and the other lime juice with simple syrup. My Hendricks straight up with a twist came in a tumbler at first then they just poured it right into a martini glass without shaking it in ice or chilling. The server said "I thought that was wrong, too." Warm gin that says good Martini. What a mess.

Worth a stop any day just for their key lime martini--fabulous! Staff are friendly and attentive. The place is very clean, and the decor is fun and contemporary. Favorite dishes include the ahi sashimi (watch out for that wasabi, though!) and the pear and roasted beet salad. Not crazy about the butternut squash flatbread or the truffle penne. Some items are priced right and others are not. As a couple, expect to spend around $75 (plus gratuity) for two drinks, one appetizer to share, and two dinner entrees.

Great service and wonderful dinner. Prawn linguine was excellent. Caesar salad had a great twist to it. Trend the pizza awesome. Crust was thin and crisp. I will return.

Gluten free friendly! Only fairly upscale place we found in the area that was gf and dairy allergy friendly for me. They have a gf menu although there wasn't much to choose from once I took the dairy off. I had the peppered salmon dish which was fantastic. My husband who can eat anything had the crab mac and cheese and loved it- tons of crab in it. Good wine and beer selection, nice ambience and modern decor. Was low staffed it seemed but our waitress was great- kind and efficient.

I originally gave this place 4 out of 5 starts when they opened but after we tried the food again today I would NOT recommend this place. My husband got the crab mac and cheese and it was undercooked and contained large chunks of raw onion. It was advertised as golden on top, but they forgot to do that before serving it. I ordered a special for the day - chimichurri skirt steak. I'm fairly confident that they forgot to the put the chimichurri on the plate. We also ordered a special appetizer - and they too forgot to put an ingredient on. The service was ok - they seemed understaffed but the server was friendly. Overall, unless the quality of the food improves I will not go back.

I was really excited to try this place, however I was very disappointed. We went in for Happy Hour on Sunday excited to try out a bunch of appetizers and fun drinks. The ambiance is great, the service was poor for multiple reasons. The waiter carded us then walked away and we were ready to order. We flagged down another server and asked to order, she was short but nice enough to take our order. We ordered mojitos off the happy hour menu and a blood orange martini that we had heard great things about. The mojitos had literally NO taste of alcohol what so ever, they tasted like lime seltzer water. The blood orange martini was even more of a disappointment tasting of overly sweet orange juice. The BBQ chicken pizza was good but the raw jalapenos were too spicy for the dish, the calamari was a pathetically small portion even for $5.( I am talking like 2 tablespoons of calamari on top of a big bed of warm lettuce.) We told our server that our drinks were very weak to the point of tasting virgin and he argued with us saying there was 2.5 oz of liquor in each (I can assure you there was not) then walked away with the comment "maybe they just made them so good that you can't taste it" and brought us our bill. We had not requested our bills, I guess he assumed we were not ordering any more $5 lime seltzer waters which he was correct but I was shocked that he did not offer to get a manager or do anything to us. Needless to say I will never be going back here. What a disappointment, especially for a place I was so excited to see in Yakima!

This place is wonderful. I think the owners have done a fabulous job with both the food and atmosphere! I've had the pancakes and tasted the french toast...as well as the flatbread and chicken...what can I say but, delicious! The presentation is wonderful and portions are great. Friendly staff and a great bar, this place is a must go on my list when in Yakima. Take it from a foodie and Californian, this is the sorta place Yakima needed and I for one am so glad to visit as often as I can. Cheers and enjoy!

I agree with the previous reviewer that this is definitely the type of place the Yakima area needed to boost its restaurant scene and attract foodies. I do worry about it surviving, however, as it is a little pricey for the neighborhood and it's adjoined to a less-than-upscale mall. In my opinion, the ambiance (LOVED the cozy fireplace mixed with modern flair!), quality of food and unique drink offerings warrant the level of their prices. Plus, if you're on a budget or just plain hesitant about anything new or trendy they have a generous happy hour menu to begin your sampling. My only complaint is the service of the staff was a little sub-par. The hostess seemed a little flustered on where to seat us even though there were plenty of tables and our waitress took long periods between taking our drink, appetizer and then main course order. However, I am assuming these issues can be chalked-up to it being a new restaurant still working out the kinks. I will definitely be back for a visit next time I am in Yakima; establishments with a good vibe and a well-mixed cocktail seem so rare these days!

Rude Staff and food has gone downhill. This is was my last time going. Was sitting in the bar having a late lunch with my friend whom i hadnt seen for a long time...catching up , eating and drinks. When the hostess comes over to put a RESERVED sign on our table while we our sitting there telling us someone else wants our table! We hadnt even finished our drinks! Left very upset with the service, food was bland and tasted like pre packaged food...and the drinks are not woth $10. Very unprofessional on her part.

Yes it's pricey for Yakima but if you're on a budget, go to the happy hour or try their breakfast. I had a great time at this upscale (for Yakima) restaurant when I needed a less crowded place to watch the Seahawks play this Sunday morning. We ordered egg's benedict and their classic breakfast and the food was very well prepared. Best bacon and eggs this side of the mountain. The staff didn't mind that I was in there watching the game while drinking $5 Blood Mary's, coffee, and some whiskey for a few hours. I think they even have a server who can use American sign language to communicate with a group of hearing impaired people. Bonus! Nothing like venting your frustration at the terrible outcome of the game using hand gestures.

A martini bar should be judged by its signature drink and in that area Twigs rises above. All four of the martinis we tried tasted exactly as advertised and packed a punch, too. The Key Lime Pie, Orange Creamcicle and Chocolate Kiss were all delicious, but the Caramel Frap made our night. This incredible drink should make Starbucks jealous. So. Freaking. Good. While tipping back our martini glasses we tried the happy hour Cajun calamari. It was delicious, served on a bed of mixed spicy peppers & onions and with a side of seasoned sauce. Prices were very affordable for the strong, above average martinis, and the happy hour food menu was cheap and varied as well. Our server was a great conversationalist and incredibly respectful of us, going so far as to ask permission to stack some chairs as closing time approached but only if it wouldn't bother us. We found out there are several Twigs locations in WA and are looking forward to trying more martinis at the one nearest us.

Great place for a nice dinner date or for a big group. I tried this with a few coworkers and we were happy with the selection overall. pro: Great atmosphere, comfortable, nice bar with TVs, no wait for a table, great pizza and salads, never felt rushed, lots of menu options, gluten free choices, awesome desserts, very friendly con: We were seated right away but everthing took too long (wait between cocktails, taps had to be changed, slow kitchen), steak was overcooked

Did my sister's graduation dinner at twigs. We had a fairly large group and everyone liked their meal pretty well. I knocked it a couple stars for the following reasons. Our water glasses did not get refilled even though we ordered appetizers, entrees and desert. We had to ask, even though everyone's glass was empty. The linguine prawn and salmon dish was good but there was very little salmon especially for almost $20. It also did not include bread or salad with the meal. The Moroccan beef appetizer was very strange and spicy. (I like spicy curries and exotic food.) Not a single person in our large group liked it. On the other hand, The bruschetta and calamari appetizers were a huge hit.

Kind of an expensive "Happy Hour" but the pork tacos were quite good I enjoyed the atmosphere. It is a nice addition to the Valley. I will go back.

We were visiting from Seattle and looking for food that was healthy, interesting, delicious and affordable and we wanted to eat outside. A local recommended Twigs Bistro. Twigs exceeded our expectations and we will eat there again. I had the pear, beet, candied walnut, baby green salad with wild Pacific salmon (not farmed!); it was one of the best salads I've ever eaten in my life. The strawberry and huckleberry lemonade were incredible and they give free refills by bringing you a new full glass! The Thai chicken pizza was delicious too. Our waitress provided excellent service. My five year old loved the food too.

I'm only dropping twigs down to of the two star because we were asked to go somewhere else on 11 o'clock PM on a Saturday night ! Wow you would think they would want to be open and make some revenue...
